It's our last day together in Spanish! There is no assignment for today, unless you haven't finished your reading on Garbanzo from yesterday, then please do so today. What I do want you to do is log into PowerSchool and look at your grade. If you see any missing assignments or any assignments with an 'I' next to it, feel free to redo it to improve that grade.
Over the summer, please take care of yourselves, spend quality time relaxing with family, and as always, my prayers will be with you all!

¡Feliz lunes! Es nuestro último lunes juntos este año escolar.
Between today and tomorrow we have one last assignment to complete. The assignment is posted on Garbanzo, titled 'Ojalá que llueva café', a song by Juan Luis Guerra. ¡Feliz martes!
I hope all of you enjoyed your weekend! This week I want you working on a final project about...your favorite food! We have been talking about various food dishes the past couple of classes, and this week I want you working on a presentation about your favorite dish! What should it include? --The food, what is it? --What are the ingredients? --How is it made? (Here you can ask either your mom, tía, abuelita, Google...) --What makes it your favorite dish? Convince me it should be my favorite dish. BUT...there is a catch...Your presentation should be written in Spanish. Yes...ALL IN SPANISH! I want you to take the entire week to work on this project on PowerPoint, that way it's easier for me to see, and you can also include picture. Keep in mind that you do not have to write in complete sentences, just write everything in Spanish. When is this due? Next week Monday! Ah, elotes. When you are finished, or before you start your reading, answer the questions today based on your opinion about el elote. Hoy vamos a comparar enchiladas. Van a escribir la diferencia sobre un video de enchiladas y otro video de enchiladas. Van a escribir 5 oraciones en total, y en español. Use the video from Tuesday about Doña Ángela and today's video to compare these two enchilada recipes. You can compare how they look, how they are made, the ingredients that are used, and which would you prefer to eat. Make sure, however, that your written response is in Spanish, and that is has AT LEAST 5 sentences. Yesterday you read on Garbanzo about Doña Ángela. Today we are going to watch one of her tutorials on YouTube while you answer some questions about her tutorial. If you get hungry while you watch her video, like I did, try making them one day at home! I know I will! The activity consists of multiple choice questions about what Doña Ángela is doing in her tutorial. Do the activity either after or during you watch the tutorial. The tutorial itself is posted at the end of today's post.
