Yesterday you did a short reading assignment on Garbanzo. If you didn't, take the time today to do so.
We continue talking about food with two images below. I bet most of you know many, if not all of the food items pictured! Using the two images, answer the questions provided below each one, making sure to answer in Spanish. ¡La última semana de abril! Hoy van a leer en Garbazo un artículo que se llama 'El sabor latino de la dieta americana'. This unit we are on talks about food, which many of the food items mentioned you may be very familiar with already. Today's reading is a short read, and once you're finished, or before, make sure you do today's Campanada at the end of today's post. Today we are going to practice rewriting our story ¡Búscalo!, only this time, we have words missing in the story. You will have a word bank to use, a small one, but the words can be repeated as many times necessary.
What you are to do is click on the link provided. It will take you to the activity on another window. Use the access code that I give you and type your real name so I know who has done the work. There you will have our class story with missing words. Type in the words and once you've finished, submit. No need to email me once you've finished, I will receive an email automatically once you have. Here is the link: https://www.classroomclipboard.com/825085/Test/618246DE-2F3E-4052-A4FE-5857DDE5782A This is your access code, the letters are all capital: A4TPA4H Yesterday's assignment you focused on four phrases: se siente frustrado, se siente confundido, se siente feliz, se siente enojado. Today you will use these four phrases and our story ¡Búscalo!. Scroll back down to 2 de abril to find the story. What I want you to do today is use moments from the story to depict when a character feels one of these four emotions. It can be the same character, or it can be a different character for each emotion, however you want! What you do have to do IN SPANISH is tell me which character feels the emotion and explain why. Here's an example: Alyssa se siente enojada porque no encuentra su gato en el parque. See? Simple as that! Remember to use complete sentences and write everything in Spanish. ¡Bienvenidos de regreso!
Before we begin reviewing our story ¡Búscalo! from before break, we're going to talk about four emotions: se siente frustrado (s/he fells frustrated) se siente confundido (s/he feels confused) se siente feliz (s/he feels happy) se siente enojado. (s/he fells angry) In your notebook or on a sheet of paper, divide your paper in 4, one for each emotion. and colorfully draw an emoji that represents each emotion. Don't forget to label each emoji with the emotion it represent, put your name on it, and email it to me once you've finished. One more day! Today we have a reading on Garbanzo titled 'Alfombras de serrín'. Log in and do the assignment, and once you've finished, enjoy your break!
Holy Week! The most important week of our Catholic faith, for without this week, our lives as Catholics wouldn't be as they are today, we wouldn't be Catholics! It's also my favorite week of the year, more so than Christmas, because of the celebrations of the Paschal Triduum (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday).
Today you will be researching a bit about Holy Week, an activity that will be easy. Click on the link to take you to today's activity, it will say test but it's not a test: https://www.classroomclipboard.com/825085/Test/0BC1F271-6EE4-4FB5-8512-FD30CD2892F9 This is the Access code, make sure you type it in all caps: CP7NYY Make sure you answer in complete sentences. You do not need to e-mail me once you're finished. Thank you to those who submitted ideas for our lesson's story, here it is!
There is our story. Personally, I like it! What I want for you today is the following: Either in your Spanish notebook if you have it, or on a loose leaf sheet of paper, draw four scenes from our story. You do not have to color, and you do not have to have dialogue, dialogue is optional. Divide your paper into four parts and in each section draw a different scene. They do not have to be in order, and any part of the story is fine. Once you're finished, email me your illustrations, we'll be using them for Monday's assignment. |
