We made it to the end of March, wooo! Today we'll begin our lesson's story titled ¡Búscalo! Just like in class, I'll ask for information, only this time you'll just type them in and I'll choose some for Thursday's assignment. This will count as a participation grade.

¡Feliz lunes!
Today you are going to do an activity that will require you to do two things. Thing 1: Respond to three questions from the list. Thing 2: Comment on a classmate's response and either agree or disagree. I can hear some of you already...Whaaaaaaaa??? (P.S., I miss hearing all of you say that!) Here's an example: One of the questions asks ¿Tú sabes cuáles son los siete (7) continentes? Say you want to answer this question, and in the comments, in Spanish, you write Yo sé cuales son los siete continentes. If you don't know, you would say yo no sé blah blah blah (don't forget the accent on the e, very important). Then, wait a while and come back to comment on someone's post, either by saying 1)yo también (I do, too) or 2)yo tampoco (I don't either). Today we'll be reading the short story titled 'La fanática' on our website we started using last week. Those of us who have not yet signed up, here are the URL and Invite code again: URL: gbnz.io/88755 Invite code: LLAMA-88755 The short story uses our core vocabulary for this lesson, and it only has 9 assignments. Please complete it for today, and don't forget to do your Campanada. Yesterday we began Unit 8: La comida latina, and I posted for you the core vocabulary for this lesson. Make sure you do today's Campanada. For today, you're going to practice using the core vocabulary by answering the following questions IN SPANISH. Make sure you are also writing complete sentences.
¡Buenos días! Today we'll begin a new lesson: La comida latina. As we progress with our e-learning, I'll be typing more in Spanish. As we usually do with any new lesson, we have new vocab terms we'll be using; here they are: CORE VOCABULARY busca - s/he looks for encuentra - s/he finds sabes - you know For today, all you have to do are two things: Thing 1: Your campanada. Thing 2: Translate the practice sentences. There are five of you already registered on Garbanzo, yay! If you haven't done so, please do, since we'll be working on this website during the third trimester. Continue working on the assignment titled 'El ajolote'. Don't forget to do today's bell ringer as well! Yesterday I shared a ULR and invite code on the blog for you to join Garbanzo (I forgot this VERY important detail yesterday, the name of the website), where we will be doing some activities that are related to what we've been working on in class. If you haven't done so, or if you forgot to do so, here are those links again: No need to go to the website, just type in the URL provided, it will send you straight to the page. URL: gbnz.io/88755 Invite code: LLAMA-88755 Once you join you will see that there is an assignment for you to work on. The title of the lesson is 'El ajolote', a reading with activities about a walking fish. Yes, a walking fish! In Mexico! There are 35 small assignments to do that are related to the lesson, but you do not have to do all 35 today. Only do the first 10, they're short and easy to do. And, as always, our Campanada... ¡Buenos días! We'll begin today with a Campanada, which you can submit at the end of today's blog post. Write down your response to the following questions in Spanish: Imagínate que vas a participar en una competición de Castells. ¿Te gustaría (would you like) formar parte de la pinya (the base) o te gustaría ser la enxaneta (the top)? ¿Por qué? In class we've been talking about the Castells and have seen a couple of videos about how they are constructed. Scroll down to see another video, where the mayor of Tarragona is being interviewed. Today what I want for you to do is build your own Castell with whatever you can find at home. Be creative! Have a miniature figure be the enxaneta, a can of maiz for pozole as the pinya, or whatever you wish! Take a picture of your Castell and e-mail it to me at [email protected]. You don't have to be in the picture, but make sure you mention how tall it is! During our e-learning, we'll be using a website where you will have to log into. Please go to the website using the ULR and the Invite code. URL: gbnz.io/88755 Invite code: LLAMA-88755 |
