¡Feliz lunes! Last Thursday we talked about how to set the table in Spanish. Today we will be practicing our listening about food and ordering food. Click on the image below, it will take you to the website that we'll be working with today. Scroll down to where it says 'Common questions customers ask at the restaurant in Spanish' and listen to all of the audios. Continue to listen to the section titled 'Things that the waiter will say at the restaurant in Spanish'. Continue to scroll down and find the section titled 'Listening Activity No. 2'. Play the audio as many times as you need and do the quiz right under the audio. Once you finish the quiz, state at the end of today's post your score. Today we will be setting the dinner table, something you may already have practice with. Take a look at how these two people set the table in Spanish: Watch the video once, twice, or as many times as you need to. After, or during you watch the video, do the second page from the file, the page that is shown in the picture below. Complete the worksheet and email me a picture of the finished product.
Today you are going to play Memory, using the kitchen utensils we talked about yesterday. Take a look at the image downloaded from profedeele.es, on how each kitchen utensil is called in Mexico (Note: the names of certain objects vary from country to country): Go to the website https://www.profedeele.es/actividad/vocabulario/utensilios-cocina/ and scroll down to the memory game. Match the image to the word until you get all the pairs. Play as many times as you wish! ¡Buenos días! Today we'll move from food into objects in the kitchen. Take a look at the following image: In the image there are 16 kitchen items labelled. What I want you to do today is label any 10 items from your kitchen. Take a picture with these 10 things labelled. You can either do it like in the image with a number and write those numbers on a paper, or label the object with the word itself. E-mail me the picture.
Today we will register online on the website garbanzo.io where you will have online assignments that the entire class can do. We will be working with this website throughout the trimester and for our future studies in Spanish. It's simple to register, and the best part, it's free!
Go to the URL, copy and paste it onto the address bar, where you type the website: URL: gbnz.io/24372 It will ask you for an invite code, type this one: Invite code: MAMUT-24372 All you have to do now is create a profile, use your name so I know who is doing the work online. And that's it! You have your first assignment already posted on the website titled 'A mí me gusta'. Today we were going to have a small quiz in class. We'll postpone that quiz for when we return to school. By now we have mentioned different foods in class, some new, some we already knew. Look at the picture, which I took from me-encanta-escribir.blogspot.com: On the space provided at the end of today's post, write in Spanish the food items that you see in the picture from the list given next to the picture. Feel free to ask someone (Google counts) what the food items are if you don't know them. ¡Buenos días! Last week Thursday we continued our learning about the five different food groups in Spanish. Here's a video with Tío Spanish where he talks about food groups and how in Latin American countries they eat 5 meals a day! Finish working on your plate from Thursday. The plate is an idea from totschooling.net, where I edited the English to Spanish. When you finish, e-mail me a picture of your plate at [email protected]. If you forgot or lost your plate, download it here:
